My philosophy will always be that your choices come first.

It is not my job to tell you what has to happen, or how we have to do things during your labor. What I am here for is to offer all of the unbiased and peer-reviewed research to support your choices for your childbearing year. I feel deeply that the empowerment of understanding your choices fully will lead to the power of your birth remaining in your hands. I do not want to be your savior, I will not be delivering your baby; I will simply be the steward of your birth, keeping you and your child as the focus of my practice. I choose to do this work from Love. The Love of Birthing Bodies. The Love of New Life. The Love of a parent welcoming their new child to the earth.  It is my overall goal to make your birth experience one where you feel in control, where you hold the power, and your family has the final say in the events of your labor. I will work for Love.

My background with doula work has led my “flavor” to be along the lines of “Informed choices, and unwavering support.” Birth is such an intimate and spiritual transformation for parents, and I don’t believe that fear or coercion has a place here. I want to provide individualized care for my clients. I want to offer you my knowledge and skills to meet the needs of your growing family in ways that are right for you. I am not a religious provider, but I do believe in the divine changes and power of birth. I am happy to learn and cater to your personal beliefs to provide appropriate care for your family, no matter your Faith. I am also happy to teach about the birth practices of my indigenous heritage as I lean heavily into learning more about my own history.
